KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Sherry Ibrahim is delighted to have finally reached the summit of Mount Kinabalu, Malaysia's higest mountain in Sabah.
Achieving her feat two days ago, Sherry uploaded photos of herself on the summit of the iconic mountain on Instagram yesterday.
"Thank God, I've finally reached the roof of Malaysia at 6am yesterday. Mount Kinabalu stands 4,095.2 metres above sea level, and I've conquered it just before sunrise and watched a splendid rainbow on the way up," said Sherry who spent two days and one night climbing the mountain.
"The climb was not just a physical but also a mental challenge. It truly tested my stamina, patience and determination.
"And along the way I also made friends with fellow climbers who gave me lots of encouragement.
"So at the end of the day, what I actually conquered was not just the mountain but also my human limitations."
Sherry concluded that it would not only be her first climb of Kinabalu but her last as well.
