#SHOWBIZ: I am very much alive, says funnyman Sathiya

SHAH ALAM: Veteran comedian Sathiya, 60, who recently suffered from a mild stroke, said that he was "very much alive" and was recuperating at home in the Selangor state capital.

"I'm on the mend, though I can't drive yet," he said in a Harian Metro report yesterday.

"I can still move around the house, though not as much as before."

Sathiya told his fans not to worry about him, as he could perform household chores and meet and greet them from time to time.

"I have saved money for a rainy day, especially for emergencies like this one. I will continue to act in television and cinema as long as I am able-bodied too."

Sathiya also said that his children were married and had their own families to support. Consequently, he merely supports his wife.

Sathiya's stroke was reported by his eldest daughter Vickynesawary Nayar, 34, a few days ago.

She said that he was rushed to Kuala Lumpur Hospital after complaining of stiff arms and legs at home.
