KUALA LUMPUR: "If he really wants to change for the better, there's nothing else for me to say but to wish him the best," said local singer Bella Astillah when asked for her comment on Aliff Aziz's latest development.
Bella, 30, shared this when met with reporters yesterday at the press conference for the upcoming 'Jiwa Malaysia Concert 2024', which she is expected to perform alongside other acts including Spider, Dolla, Hujan and Bunkface.
She added that she wasn't aware of the video showing her former husband, Aliff, 33, joining a tabligh group at a mosque in his home country of Singapore.
In the video shared by an individual identified as Ustaz Haji Taufik, Aliff was seen wearing a white Muslim turban.
"I don't really feel that I should comment about his new development as all these things are about one's personal beliefs and motives.
"It's his life. Who am I to comment on that?" she said.
This was not the first time Aliff had followed a tabligh group.
Back in August 2021, he had also followed a similar Islamic missionary movement, after going through a tumultuous period in his life then.
On June 13, Aliff and Bella divorced for the second time, following a controversy which shook the local entertainment world.
The couple who married on Sept 9, 2016, first divorced on May 16, 2019, but reconciled before Bella completed her 'iddah' period.
