#SHOWBIZ: Bella wants to 'move on' from Aliff

ACTRESS and singer Bella Astillah feels relieved after clearing the air over talk that she will not allow her former husband, Aliff Aziz and his family in Singapore to meet their children, Mohamad Ayden Adrean Aliff, 7, and Ara Adreanna Aliff, 4.

Bella whose real name is Dayang Ara Nabella Awang Astillah, 30, said this in a statement on Instagram on Aug 11.

"I want to explain the truth about this to the public so that there will not be any further issues.

"I said that netizens, friends and fans are not only tired, but also uncomfortable and fed up hearing about my so-called problems with Aliff in the media.

"I understand where they are coming from, and I don't like sharing personal matters.

"I have decided to move on, not look back and share more positive things about myself, my singing and acting career and my two children — Ayden and Adreanna.

"I want to put a full stop to all negative talk about my past problems, for whatever decisions I have made pertaining to my children are in their best interest.

"Aliff will still be their father and he is happy with that, and I always emphasise this to Ayden and Adreanna," said Bella.

Bella also said that she was relieved to have "let go of her burden" and all she wanted now was to work hard and excel in her showbiz career.

"If the other side makes media comments, I have chosen not to respond to them, because I have said all that I had to say."

Bella added that she had asked her parents for their opinions, and they advised her to keep mum whenever talk about her life with Aliff was raised by netizens.

"My apologies to all netizens. There is only so much I can share, I do not want to look back, I want to look forward and do my best as an artiste and a mother," she said.

She reiterated that custody of Ayden and Adreanna had been given to her by the Federal Territories Syariah Court on June 13 and her former husband had fully agreed with the decision.

Bella was met at the TikTok Awards 2024 held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur in Jalan Putra on Aug 11.

In the event, she was voted by netizens as Celebrity Of The Year.

On another note, Bella apologised for appearing in "revealing" clothes while holidaying at a beach resort in her home state last month.

"I admit that I was not careful and while I was enjoying myself with my family and relatives during that holiday, I will be more careful in future now that I am a public figure.

"The holiday was on a private island in Sabah. I was invited to go on holiday by an aunt whom I had not seen for a long time.

"I greatly missed her, so I decided to take some photos of the two of us during that excursion."

Bella and Aliff were married in 2016 but divorced on June 13 at the Federal Territories Syariah Court.

Bella and Aliff's marriage ended after Aliff was caught for khalwat with actress Ruhainies Zainul Ilyas at a condominium in the federal capital on March 9.
