KUALA LUMPUR: Still actively acting despite his age, some Bollywood fans are wondering why superstar Amitabh Bachchan is still working.
In response, the 81-year-old artiste who has appeared in more than 200 movies during his five decades in the film industry wrote a long note in his blog recently to address that.
He said that he had no answer to this, except that it was because he was still receiving acting offers.
"They keep asking me…the reason for me to be working…and I have no answers or this, except it's another job opportunity for me…what else could possibly be the reason…got a problem with that? " he wrote.
According to Hindustan Times, Amitabh has recently reprised his role as the host for the game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16'.
He was last seen in 'Kalki 2898 AD', a mythology-inspired sci-fi extravaganza directed by Nag Ashwin, a post-apocalyptic film inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898.
It was also reported that the octogenarian is currently filming 'Vettaiyan', a film also starring another Indian superstar, Rajinikanth.
The film is expected to premiere in October.
