KUALA LUMPUR: The sister of the late Datuk Sudirman Arshad, Datin Rodziah Arshad, died of lung cancer at a medical centre in Petaling Jaya at 12.08pm today. She was 82.
According to Berita Harian, the unfortunate news was announced by her son, Razman Azrai Zainudin or Atai.
"All the family members and myself were able to see her during her last moments. Her final journey was made easy and she left peacefully.
"I am sad because I remember that how she used to take care of Cokman (Sudirman). Now, both are gone.
"She did not leave any last message. She had always told me to take care of myself," he said.
Rodziah leaves behind her husband, three children and seven grandchildren.
It was reported that her remains were taken to the Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq Mosque in Bangsar, here for bathing, shrouding and prayer.
Atai said that her body would then be transported to Temerloh, Pahang for burial.
