#Showbiz: Chan refuses to comment on relationship with Farah Ann [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Brian Chan, 29, has declined to comment on his romantic relationship with former national gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hadi, which had previously captured significant attention on social media.

Chan had previously acknowledged his relationship with the mixed Malay-Canadian former gymnast through an Instagram post in 2021.

Chan, known for his role as Tauke in Ola Bola The Musical, said that he prefers to share details about his professional career rather than his personal life with the public.

"Personal matters are better kept private. I prefer to comment only on professional aspects of my career," he said.

Discussing his involvement in the musical Puteri Hang Li Po, which will be performed at Encore Melaka for four days starting from Oct 3, Chan revealed that he plays the character of Laksamana Ming You.

In this musical directed by Adzwadi Saini, Brian will be working alongside Dewi Seriestha (Puteri Hang Li Po) and Luqman Hafidz (Sultan Melaka).

"I was offered the role in this production without going through an audition process by the Istana Budaya team.

"What is challenging is that the language used in this theatre is classical Malay, which I am not used to hearing.

"In terms of singing, I have previously acted in Ola Bola and was able to apply what I learned in this musical," he said.

Asked further about the musical, Chan said he had no issues collaborating with either Dewi Seriestha or Luqman in the production.

"I have previously worked with Luqman in Ola Bola. As for Dewi, she is an excellent and very disciplined artist.

"I perform in Malay in this theatre, and so far the rehearsal and preparation sessions have progressed by more than 50 per cent," he added.
