#SHOWBIZ: Ezaidi Aziz avoids 'extreme' scenes involving female co-stars

KUALA LUMPUR: New actor Ezaidi Aziz, 28, does not want to be embroiled in controversies with his female co-stars and refuses to act in intimate or "extreme" scenes.

This means he has refused to be intimate with singer and actress Bella Astillah who has been his onscreen love interest four times in different dramas.

"My stand will receive lots of criticism from netizens, and it is their right to do so.

"But it is not a condition that I simply impose on film producers, it is a religious obligation," he said in an interview with Harian Metro yesterday.

The main star of digital streaming platform iQIYI drama Satu Hari Nanti added: "I always pray that I keep to my limits whenever I film scenes with actresses.

"Alhamdulillah, I am surrounded by friends and family who support me a lot.

"They always tell me to excel in acting without going overboard."

The actor from Kelantan has successfully landed his main role in a drama series in only three years.

His other acting credits include Hijrah Jannah, Jesnita, Keria Women, Leha Leya Lawa and Jangan Padam Rindu.

"I like characters who are religious because viewers generally like such characters.

"I have also played a tough guy who gets into a fight scene in Hijrah Jannah and it was cool.

"My dream is to play an action hero," he said.

Ezaidi added: "At the moment I am willing to try diverse roles because this will help me grow as an actor and work with the best people in the film industry."
