KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nur Fazura has shared a photo of a bouquet of flowers and a greeting card sent by her husband Fattah Amin in an Instagram Story.
According to Berita Harian, Fazura expressed her gratitude with a brief caption to Fattah for his thoughtful gift on her 41st birthday today.
She simply wrote: "Thank you Fatima's daddy."
Fattah, who recently turned 34 on Sept 14, offered kind words to his wife in the greeting card, even though the two were currently facing a marital crisis.
"Happy Birthday Mommy. Daddy prays for you on the day of your birth, for Mommy to always be happy, blessed with sustenance, be given God's protection, and for happiness in this world and the afterlife forever," he wrote.
Earlier, Fazura posted a brief message on her Instagram that read: "The beginning of a promise, to love myself more."
Over previous months, the issue of Fazura and Fattah's marital breakdown had heated up on social media after netizens noticed that they no longer left comments or likes on posts on their respective accounts.
It was reported on Sept 13 that the actress had filed for divorce against Fattah at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari, Shah Alam.
However, Fattah was reported to have said that he was surprised when he received the news of his wife filing for divorce and only found out about it through social media.
The couple appeared at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court on Wednesday for the first mention of the divorce filing case.
Fattah declined to release Fazura and the court had postponed the divorce proceeding to Oct 7.
No further details about the divorce filing or the actual reason for their split have been disclosed.
Fazura and Fattah tied the knot on Nov 27, 2017.
They have a four-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
