KUALA LUMPUR: Popular Chinese actress Fan Bingbing is rumoured to be currently filming a new movie in Malaysia.
According to China Press, the 43-year-old artiste is apparently in Alor Star, Kedah filming a movie by local director Chong Keat Aun.
Fan, who was appointed Visit Melaka 2024 ambassador in June, took to Instagram recently to share a brief look at her work day.
The post was accompanied by a video that saw her getting ready at 5.30am and being driven to her filming location.
She captioned the entry with: "Waking up early is pure pain, just look at my face."
Netzien's then speculated online that she was in Alor Star after Fan had also posted a series of photos on Weibo that featured paddy fields during a sunrise.
The X-Men: Days Of Future Past star is not the only foreign artiste who has come over for filming as there have been several others in recent months.
Hong Kong actress Anita Yuen was in Malaysia in July to film her new movie Mum's Big News, while fellow Hong Kong stars Eric Tsang, Bobby Au-yeung and Edmond So were also here in August to film the Chinese New Year movie Money Games.
