#SHOWBIZ: Septuagenarian Jackie Chan feels guilty if he uses body double for action stunts

KUALA LUMPUR: Despite having lost consciousness during a fighting scene at a film set recently, martial arts legend and actor Jackie Chan insisted that the incident was not grave and he had no intention of using a stunt double for such a scene.

In a recent report by the portal 8days, the 70-year-old fainted and fell to the ground while filming his new film 'Panda Plan'.

This happened when he was being strangled by another actor during an action scene.

Realising the senior star's condition, the actor quickly released his hold and helped Chan to sit up while the crew rushed over to assist them.

It was reported that at that time, Chan's face was devoid of any expression and he appeared to be unaware of what was going on.

After regaining consciousness later, he asked the crew: "What are we doing?"

According to him, he passed out because he had been holding his breath while they were doing the stunt.

In a later interview, Chan said: "It's not a big deal, I need to assure everyone else (that I'm fine) otherwise they would want me to use a stunt double.

"If I just sit there while they use a stunt double, and they just film my close-ups after he's done, I would feel very guilty!"
