#SHOWBIZ: DJs brave 11-hour traffic jam for Penang show

THE much-anticipated "Sunset Music Show" hosted by Eight FM in Batu Ferringhi, Penang, was a success led by a labour of love.

Eight FM DJs, determined to share the special musical night with the audience, persevered through an exhausting 11-hour traffic jam to finally arrive at the venue.

Their dedication and passion deeply touched the hearts of Penang's fans.

The atmosphere at the Sept 14 concert was electric, as several local artists delivered phenomenal performances that lit up the night.

Jasmine Zhang Jingwen kicked off the event with her soulful voice, performing several well-loved classics and captivating the audience from the start.

Next, Fuying brought a wave of nostalgia with a medley of 20-year-old hits.

Each song evoked memories for the audience, with many singing along, reliving the best moments of their past through the music.

Kyann and Ke Qing not only delivered a stunning performance on stage, but also brought plenty of laughter and fun to the night.

During their set, Kyann made a humorous mistake during the chorus of 'He Wu', accidentally singing off-beat, which had the whole audience burst into laughter.

Showing her quick wit, she said, "Yes, yes, I messed up the beat!"

This playful moment further lightened the atmosphere, endearing her to the crowd.

The duo also jumped off the stage to interact with the audience, breaking the barrier between performer and spectator, which further ignited the energy in the crowd.

Headliners Uriah Xu Kai and Bell didn't disappoint either, with their powerful performances capping off the night.

When Bell sang the chorus of her iconic hit 'The Protagonist', she surprised everyone by stepping off the stage to sing alongside the audience, turning the performance into a massive sing-along.

Bell's connection with fans reached a new peak during this heartfelt moment.

The concert was not just a musical feast, but also a meeting of minds and hearts between the artistes and the audience.

The artists, with their unique styles and stellar showmanship, delivered an unforgettable night for Penang's fans.

The event ended on a high note, with much applause and cheers.

In addition, Eight FM also gave away cash prizes worth up to RM1,000 to lucky members of the audience at the concert.
