KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nur Fazura claims that she and her daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, have never received duit raya from Fattah Amin for the past four years.
Fazura said that she was surprised by what happened considering that her ex-husband earned a large income of hundreds of thousands of ringgit in addition to obtaining various high-value sponsorships from various brands.
"Many also say, don't you feel sorry for Fatima? To be honest, I feel sorry. But, I'm also sad.
"For the past four years, Fatima has never received any money from her father, not even duit raya.
"I myself, throughout my marriage to Fattah, have never received any duit raya from him.
"It's true that, if possible, I don't want to separate Fatima from her father. But, how can we live together if Fatima sees her parents being unhappy?
"I have to raise Fatima while having good mental health, being happy and so on.
"You all need to know, Fattah's sponsorship is in the hundreds of thousands and his income may reach half a million.
"So don't tell me it's not possible to give duit raya to me and Fatima," she said in a Berita Harian report today.
Fazura also put a question to Fattah if he could accept his daughter being treated the same way, as the actress alleged has been happening to her.
"I want to ask Fattah, if a spouse does to Fatima what he did to me, would he agree to continue and be okay with what is being done?" she said.
