FOLLOWING her successful debut concert a few months ago, renowned vocallist Liza Hanim has released her latest ballad, 'Perisai Cinta'.
The song, featured as the original soundtrack for the drama 'Ternyata Sebuah Bahagia', showcases Liza's signature emotional depth.
The drama series stars Zamarul Hisham, Sarimah Ibrahim and Elvina Mohamad.
Liza shares the deeper meaning of 'Perisai Cinta', which expresses the struggles of Janice, the main female character played by Sarimah Ibrahim.
"The song holds dual meanings. It narrates Janice's struggles and hopes, but also carries a divine message," she explains.
"It reflects how, in times of hardship, we seek human support. Janice relies on a man, but realises he, too, is flawed.
"Ultimately, she understands that true refuge is found in Allah, not in ordinary people."
This marks Liza's first collaboration with songwriters and composers Omar K and Shazriq Azeman.
"I've admired Omar K's music for a long time, and working with him and Shazriq was a wonderful experience.
"The recording went smoothly, taking just 45 minutes," says Liza.
'Perisai Cinta' is now available on all major streaming platforms.
