KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actor Fattah Amin, 33, garnered over 22 million likes during his first live TikTok session last night, which drew more than 54,000 viewers, according to Harian Metro.
Fattah, whose full name is Abdul Fattah Mohd Amin, said he initially just wanted to have a casual chat with fans despite not knowing how to host a live session on the platform.
"Neither I nor my team knew how to go live on TikTok. Maybe next time, we'll get the right team together, especially since we want to launch products soon. Thank you, I'm truly touched by the support," he shared.
Throughout the hour-long session, Fattah appeared surprised by the overwhelming response. Near the end, he even joked about running out of things to say.
"I don't know what else to talk about, so just look at this face," he quipped with a smile.
The massive engagement on Fattah's TikTok is likely linked to the recent news of his divorce from actress Fazura on Oct 7. During the session, many users sent words of encouragement to the actor.
Fattah and Fazura were married on Nov 27, 2017, and have a four-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
