KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and celebrity chef, Datuk Fazley Yaakob, is divorced from wife Azrene Soraya Abdul Aziz or Azrene Ahmad.
The 46-year-old personality said that they had been divorced a few months ago, after 18 years of living together.
He revealed that the decision to seperate was made with mutual consent.
The news was announced in a media statement from Fazley, who added: "Hopefully with this announcement, there will be no more confusion about our relationship after this."
However, further details including the date and reason for the split were not disclosed.
Fazley, whose full name is Ahmad Fazley Yaakob, also revealed that he filed for divorce a few months ago and the edah period had been completed a few weeks ago.
"We have joint custody of all four of our children. Our relationship is still as good and amicable as when we first met," he said.
Fazley and Azrene tied the knot in 2006. They have four children, namely Ahmad Fariedz Shah, 15; Ahmad Fieradz Shah, 14; Ahmad Fierudz Shah, 13 and Alayna Selma, 7.
