KUALA LUMPUR: Following his recent divorce, Datuk Fazley Yaakob took to Instagram to advise against unwelcome advice from married men to those newly divorced.
In his post, the singer and celebrity chef emphasised that husbands are not in a position to advise divorcees on how to care for their spouses.
Instead, he urged everyone to focus on their own families and avoid prying into others' personal lives.
"For husbands who are still married, there's no need to advise divorcees on how to care for their wives," Fazley wrote. "My advice is to take care of your own wife. You don't need to be 'Pak Maon' trying to be righteous or 'Ustaz Skibidi Bombom' preaching 88 tips for a happy marriage."
He added that divorce is rarely a sudden decision, and that divorcees deserve understanding, not judgement.
Fazley also remarked on the noticeable number of separations happening this year, suggesting that giving newly single individuals some space is entirely appropriate.
Ending the post on a light note, he clarified that he "wasn't the President of the 2024 Divorcees Club" but was simply expressing his feelings on the matter.
On Oct 15, Fazley surprised fans by announcing his divorce from Azrene Soraya Abdul Aziz, with whom he had separated months prior.
While the reason for their split wasn't disclosed, Fazley and Azrene, who married in 2006, have four children, namely Ahmad Fariedz Shah, 15; Ahmad Fieradz Shah, 14; Ahmad Fierudz Shah, 13; and Alayna Selma, 7.
