KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Ernie Zakri, 32, is relieved and grateful that tickets for her upcoming solo concert, Aura: Ernie Zakri Live In Concert, sold out within just seven hours of going on sale yesterday.
Ernie, whose full name is Nur Ernie Shahirah Zakri, expressed her excitement for her first solo performance at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), scheduled for January 25 next year.
"Alhamdulillah, I truly didn't expect the Aura Concert tickets to sell out so quickly.
One of my biggest concerns was whether people could afford the tickets, as that could affect the success of the concert," she told Harian Metro.
The singer revealed that she had even planned to promote the concert further, but with the tickets already sold out, those efforts are no longer necessary.
"Now, I can sleep well knowing everything is in place. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets," she added.
As for her preparations, Ernie emphasised that she is focused on delivering an unforgettable performance but does not want to make grand promises.
"I just hope fans who attend will leave feeling satisfied and with beautiful memories. The Aura Concert is a special moment for me to connect with them," she said.
The two-hour concert may also include guest performances, although final details are still being discussed. In addition to the Kuala Lumpur show, Ernie is set to continue her solo tour in Singapore next June and hopes for a similar positive response to ticket sales.
