KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Wani Kayrie says her recently released single titled Aiman Tino has nothing to do with fellow singer whose name had been immortalised in the song.
According to her, the song which was released last week, was composed and produced by award-winning composer Ezra Kong.
"When I first received the demo tape (of the song), my initial reaction was to think either it was something to do with Aiman, or even a song meant for him.
"So I asked Ezra about it, and he told me the name was used simply to make it rhyme well," said 24-year-old Wani whose real name is Syazwani Abdullah.
She also said they her team had also informed and asked for the greenlight from the singer of the song Ku Rela Dibenci before they went ahead to record the single.
"He's also excited when he found out that his name had been used for the song and that it is the creation of the award-winning composer," shared Wani with reporters when met at the press conference for upcoming Futureland music festival held here yesterday.
Wani is one of the long lineup of singers who will perform at the festival set for Nov 23 at the iconic Stadium Merdeka.
