KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Aiman Tino and his wife, Che Syarah Haifa Che Isa, are stranded in Seoul, South Korea, following heavy snowfall sweeping the country.
In a recent news report Aiman, or Muhammad Aiman Yusri, 26, said that he was supposed to return to Malaysia on Wednesday but the flight had to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
Aiman said that he and Che Syarah, 25, had to stay on the plane for eight hours before being informed that the flight was cancelled.
"We were already on the plane from 11am earlier, but then it was postponed.
"We were stuck in the plane for eight hours and we were informed that the weather in Seoul is quite severe," he said.
Aiman who shared the incident on his Instagram Story said that the current temperature in Seoul is 1°C.
"What's more heartbreaking is that we didn't have time for breakfast because we had to rush from the hotel straight to the airport.
"Luckily Malaysia Airlines provided peanuts and sandwiches," he said.
Aiman hopes to return to Malaysia as soon as possible as he has work to be completed.
"Please pray for us all, friends. I have a lot of work to be completed," he shared.
Seoul is blanketed by the heaviest snowfall for November, the worst in 100 years according to the country's weather agency.
The Korea Meteorological Agency (KMA) reported that as much as 16.5 centimetres of snow had fallen by 7am local time on Wednesday, surpassing the previous record of 12.4cm set on Nov 28, 1972.
