AT just 34 years old, Alif Satar has become more than an entertainer — he's a symbol of positivity, inspiring countless fans with his clean image and meaningful initiatives.
One such initiative, the "Subuh Macam Jumaat" campaign, has sparked a wave of enthusiasm since its launch late last year.
However, Alif admits that carrying this mantle isn't without its challenges.
"As a public figure, everything I do is under scrutiny. Yes, it's tough.
"Being Muslim means there are boundaries, but I see it as a responsibility. It can feel like pressure, but it's also an opportunity to inspire others.
"People look to me for good examples, just like I once looked up to Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza. If my actions can positively influence someone, Alhamdulillah," he told 'Berita Harian'.
Despite his growing influence, Alif is adamant about staying away from politics, preferring to make his mark through community-driven initiatives.
"No, I won't enter politics. My contribution is through efforts like 'Subuh Macam Jumaat'. That's how I give back to the nation," he said.
The campaign, which encourages Muslims to treat their Fajr prayers on weekdays with the same enthusiasm as Friday prayers, has resonated deeply with people across Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
Alif's commitment to meaningful work extends beyond the campaign.
This month, he will travel to Christmas Island, Australian external territory in the Indian Ocean, to record an Islamic programme for Astro Oasis in conjunction with Ramadan.
"I'll be visiting a Malay-speaking community on the island. It's fascinating — they live in Australia but maintain their Malay heritage.
"Through this, I'll learn about their lives and share their stories. After that, I'll perform umrah and bring along the Geng 'Subuh Macam Jumaat'.
"While there, we'll also record 'Salam Baitullah' for RTM in the Holy Land. It's a blessing to be part of these projects," Alif said enthusiastically.
But that's not all. Alif is currently filming for the drama 'Bukan Sekadar Lafaz 2', directed by Raja Mukhriz.
In May next year, he'll embark on a tour of New Zealand and Australia, performing at the invitation of the Malaysian embassy.
Adding to the excitement, Alif revealed that his band, The Locos, is set to record a new song penned by Edry Abdul Halim.
"It's a gift for our fans," he said with a smile.
