#SHOWBIZ: 'I'm okay, thank you' – Che Ta

KUALA LUMPUR: "I'm okay, Mimi. Thank you." That was the simple yet reassuring response from popular actress Rozita Che Wan, affectionately known as Che Ta, during a TikTok live session last night.

The comment was made in response to a question from a user named Mimi, who inquired about her well-being following recent controversies.

Che Ta's Kota Damansara home was recently raided by officers from Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) over allegations of unpaid debts amounting to almost RM1 million.

Despite the public scrutiny, Che Ta remained composed as she interacted with fans throughout the more-than-hour-long session.

"Are you okay, my dear?" Mimi had written, prompting Che Ta's grateful reply.

During the live session, Che Ta expressed her appreciation to supporters who left encouraging comments. "Thank you to those who commented kindly. Your good words mean a lot, and may your kindness come back to you," she said.

The actress also shared insights into her daily life, including her role as a homemaker and her journey in the entertainment industry.

Reflecting on her days as a busy housewife, Che Ta shared tips on managing household chores efficiently.

"Being a housewife is exhausting. When my children were younger, I would prepare everything the night before.

I'd put clothes in the washing machine at night so I could hang them up the next morning.

"Planning ahead is key. This way, I could still spend time with my children—watching cartoons and eating together," she said.

Che Ta also opened up about her acting career, revealing that she started at 35, five years after her first divorce.

"Before acting, I worked in offices, sold clothes, and even did beadwork. My career as an actress only began after those years of struggle," she shared.

When asked about her preferences in acting, she expressed a fondness for comedic roles, like her performance in the drama Kiah Pekasam.

"I love comedy. If it's not comedy, I'm not interested. Now that I'm older, I'd rather focus on my business than spend time shooting."

The live broadcast, which ended around 10.52pm, garnered significant attention, with over 106,900 viewers tuning in.
