#SHOWBIZ: Elliza Razak's melody for the brokenhearted

Talented singer Elliza Razak makes a heartfelt return with her latest single, 'Urai'.

The moving ballad marks her debut collaboration with Alternate Records and features the creative genius of composers Iqie Hugh, Omar K and Shazriq Azeman.

'Urai' promises to resonate deeply with listeners through its poignant lyrics and soul-stirring melody.

Elliza, who first gained prominence through a reality television show in 2005, has since flourished as a versatile performer.

Beyond singing, she has excelled as an actress, theatre artist and voice talent, lending her voice to Disney productions, Korean dramas and radio plays.

'Urai' heralds her return to the spotlight, showcasing her ability to channel profound emotions through music.

The song tells a bittersweet tale of heartbreak, depicting the struggles of moving on after an unexpected end to love.

"Urai carries the weight of sadness and disappointment while expressing the hope of breaking free from heartbreak.

"Its poetic metaphors, like 'daun cinta' and 'bunga cinta', reflect the complexity of lost love. I believe many will see their own stories in its verses," Elliza said in a recent statement.

Creating 'Urai' was both a challenge and a triumph for Elliza.

"The song tested my emotional depth and vocal authenticity. Unlike my previous upbeat singles, this ballad required me to fully immerse myself in its melody and lyrics," she added.

Collaborating with seasoned composers gave a special dimension to the project.

Iqie Hugh commended Elliza's commitment, calling her "talented, charismatic and professional."

He added: "Her voice brings a unique warmth to 'Urai', making it a must-listen for its heartfelt melody and message."

Adding to its appeal, 'Urai' has been chosen as the official soundtrack for TV3's upcoming drama series, 'Akad Yang Terlindung', set to premiere on Jan 14.

'Urai' is currently available on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
