1. HOW LONG DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?
Usually, seven to eight hours. Sometimes, I have a two-hour nap in the afternoon. Getting enough rest and adequate sleep is important to me. It keeps me fresh!
2.WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO AFTER YOU WAKE UP? Drink a bottle of mineral water. Then I do my usual morning bodyweight workout.
3. HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU WORK OUT IN THE MORNING?
I don’t really follow a timing. I just do my usual set of push-ups and body weight exercises for about 12 reps three times. It takes 30 minutes every morning.
4. WHEN IS YOUR FAVOURITE TIME TO EXERCISE?
Usually, I just fit it into my schedule whenever possible. Normally, I go earlier for my training to exercise by myself.
5. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE WORKOUT MEMORY?
Two years ago, when I was 19 and back in Dungun, Terengganu, I went out on a run with my family, including my mum and dad! I have 13 siblings and almost everyone made it back that year so we decided to go for a run together.
6. WHAT DO YOU RUN IN?
Usually in Nike Epic React.
7. HOW DO YOU INSPIRE YOUNG FANS?
I want to emulate the late Mokhtar Dahari because many still look up to him as their idol. He was a consummate player, from skill and speed to attitude. My dream is to leave a legacy like his.
8. DO YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE EXERCISING?
Of course. I like music, it helps me concentrate on the workout. Usually I like remixes or whatever matches my mood for the day.
9. WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE PART OF HARIMAU MALAYA?
It’s a huge responsibility. When wearing the national jersey, you must give 100 per cent and all of your spirit. You can’t be in it half-heartedly or even for the wrong reasons like money.
You’re representing Malaysia, so you must wear the jersey with pride.
