ASICS has launched its AW20 Indoor Collection with footwear designed to enhance speed and agility during game-play.
The four key products in the collection are made to support a variety of playing styles and ability levels and incorporate the footwear technologies Asics is known for.
The Court Control FF shoe for example, delivers an advanced badminton experience, while remaining versatile for casual use.
The shoe incorporates the proprietary Flytefoam midsole technology used in Asics running shoes.
The lightweight foam allows for effortless movement, as the elastomer returns energy to amplify spring. This results in a more powerful stride to enhance responsiveness around the court while providing wearers with appropriate propulsion on the court.
Conversely, the badminton-specific round outsole construction provides a smooth landing to transition into nimble footwork.
Stable movements are supported by reinforcing the middle part of the sole to prevent the shoe from excessive twisting, which hinders movement while the seamless PU-covered upper provides superior stability, durability and flexibility overall.
The shoe has also been designed to reduce the impact of landing and allows for a more seamless transition to other parts of the game. This allows wearers to last longer during matches and reduces load on the legs.

The Gel-Blade 7 indoor shoe, another product in this new collection is designed for badminton players who need a lightweight shoe to quickly cover all corners of the court in comfort and style.
Featuring a multitude of Asics footwear technologies, the shoe provides stability, comfort and protection to wearers as they take to the court.
The Gel-Rocket 9 meanwhile is engineered to be an all-rounder. The shoe assists with easing stress from the foot with each step. Extra cushioning has been provided by the Injection EVA midsole which also features rebounding properties for a boost around the court.
Wearers will also find increased stability with this shoe.
Upcourt 4 features a redesigned flexible upper construction with a more significant mesh area. It provides excellent flexibility for smooth multi-directional movement and increased ventilation for playing comfort. Its lightweight construction is stable enough to support footwork around the court.
