KUCHING: Regional community airline, MASwings will continue to operate 39 routes in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, including three new ones under new Public Service Obligation (PSO) Agreement for Rural Air Services (RAS).
MASwings in a statement today, said its operations included the three newly introduced routes, namely Kuching to Limbang; Bario to Long Lellang and Bario to Long Seridan, Sabah effective from this month.
The new agreement, effective from Jan 1, 2019 to Dec 31, 2024, was officially signed between MASwings Sdn Bhd and the government represented by the Ministry of Transport in Putrajaya recently.
Apart from the Kuching to Limbang route under MASwings 68-seater ATR, the other routes in the state are from Kota Kinabalu to Mulu; from Kuching to Mulu; from Miri to Bintulu, Limbang, Mulu, Sibu and Labuan; as well as Bintulu to Sibu.
Among the routes for MASwings Viking operations are air services from Miri to Ba’kalalan, Bario, Lawas, Long Lellang, Long Akah, Long Seridan, Long Banga and Marudi; from Mukah to Miri; Bario to Ba’kalalan and Kuching to Tanjung Manis.
