#JOM! EAT: Zus introduces Iced Shaken series

TO shake things up for the new year, Zus Coffee now has a new line of iced-shaken and bubbly good-looking drinks!

The two new signature drinks in the Iced Shaken series are specially crafted as the flagship drinks that are set to be a treat for caffeine aficionados.

Zus Coffee head barista Terrence Ho says the shaken coffee drinks - Iced Shaken Double Espresso and Shaken Orang Osmanthus Espresso - go through an aeration process when the ingredients are mixed together that give them an added smoothness.

"It's lighter on the palate while the dilution process from the shaking takes off the harsh edge from the caffeine. This gives your coffee experience to a whole new level," he says.

Here's a list of the newest beverages as well as three of its best-selling coffees that you should try when you go visit Zus Coffee.

ICED SHAKEN DOUBLE ESPRESSO

The iced shaken series is a unique beverage preparation method modelled after the Italian shakerato - a combination of an espresso shot, ice and sugar syrup, shaken together in a cocktail shaker.

Inspired by cocktail mixology, the process helps in blending the ingredients and extracts the drink's richest flavours and aroma.

It is a delicious espresso chiller hand-shaken to perfection with Vanilla Syrup, Caramel Syrup and fresh espresso beans. Topped with milk!

SHAKEN ORANGE OSMANTHUS ESPRESSO

The Shaken Orange Osmanthus Espresso is a summery iced espresso with the sweet and tangy flavours of fresh oranges and osmanthus.

Perfect for those who enjoy a little citrus twist, this signature drink is one perfect way to celebrate the Lunar New Year with some prosperous fresh flavour.

SPANISH LATTE

As the name suggests, the Spanish Latte coffee originates from Spain and it is made with traditional espresso combined with sweet and textured milk.

It's definitely sweeter than a normal latte but it's not as sweet as a latte with flavoured syrup.

One of Zus best sellers, it is also considered a favourite to many. It's also a perfect choice for those who enjoy a creamier cup of latte.

VIETNAMESE SPANISH LATTE

A twist of fusion flavours, Zus gets coco-loco with its Spanish Latte but with a makeover with creamy coconut and rich Vietnamese coffee!

A fragrant blend of Robusta and Arabica for the best of both worlds-combining strong coffee with brownie-sweet flavours, the Vietnamese coffee is a yummy powerhouse.

Has a stronger taste, this is definitely a pick for coffee lovers.

CEO LATTE

Of course, CEOs need their coffee stronger, more aromatic and overall fit for a leader. Hence, the CEO Latté was born, and now everyone can drink coffee like a boss!

If you like less milk in your coffee, this is for you. It's strong, more robust and although this might look the same as a regular latté at first glance, it's a latté that requires more technical skill to create.

It's ⅖ acidity, has ⅗ sweetness and ⅖ bitterness but ⅘ mouthfeel!
