CHERY Malaysia is currently looking into the recent complaint made by a customer and has offered her a courtesy vehicle in the interim.
Vice president Lee Wen Hsiang said that Chery Malaysia would would like to assure its customers and the public that they are taking this matter very seriously.
"The safely of our customers is our utmost concern and a courtesy vehicle has been offered to her.
"We want to emphasise that Chery Malaysia is committed to providing safe and reliable transportation solutions, and we are dedicated to ensuring that all our vehicles meet the highest safety standards," he added.
The company received a complaint on Saturday by the customer involving her Omoda 5's brakes for suddenly failing on her while she was on the highway, some time right after leaving the service centre to address the issue.
In a video, the customer expressed her frustrations and severity over the matter as she points out that brake issues with her sports utility vehicle (SUV) have been highlighted to the service centre before the latest incident only for it to not be rectified.
