KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Motors (SD Motors), the distributor of BYD vehicles in Malaysia, has introduced BYD Sealion 7 electric sports utility vehicle (SUV).
Positioned as BYD's flagship model here, the SUV aims to set new standards in performance, premium design and functionality within the electric vehicle (EV) market.
Offered in two variants, Premium and Performance, the Sealion 7 features a sleek sloping roofline that enhances its sporty aesthetic and performance, solidifying its place in the premium SUV category.
The BYD Sealion 7 starts at RM183,800 for the Premium variant, while the Performance variant starts at RM199,800.
Available in four striking colours - Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Shark Grey - the model caters to both variants.
BYD Malaysia managing director Eagle Zhao said the company focuses on delivering world-class new energy vehicles (NEVs) that cater to a diverse range of customers.
"With a current lineup that includes sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs and MPVs, we are excited to introduce the BYD Sealion 7 - a performance SUV that combines power and premium styling with the comfort and versatility of an SUV.

He said the model sets a new standard for what an electric SUV can achieve.
