KUALA LUMPUR: The 10th edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) has attracted more than 183,000 visitors across seven days.
The autoshow returned from a six-year hiatus, showcasing nearly 70 leading automotive and mobility brands.
The event, which ended on Dec 11, explored the theme "Beyond Mobility", bringing sustainability and electrification to the forefront of innovation.
The mobility showcase featured notable participants such as Toyota, Perodua, Proton, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Great Wall Motor (GWM), MG Motor, XPeng, Modenas, Kawasaki, Aion, Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson, Peugeot and Leapmotor, underscoring the show's global appeal.
They unveiled an impressive array of concept cars and prototypes, with Toyota presenting innovations like the FT-3e, Land Cruiser SE, Hilux FCEV, and the versatile Kayoibako.
Nissan captivated visitors with its futuristic Hyper Tourer, while Honda introduced the sleek Prelude Concept alongside the compact and foldable Honda Motocompacto electric scooter, as well as its groundbreaking eVTOL flying car concept.
Representing local ingenuity, Perodua showcased the eMO-II, its EV concept car and the bold Ativa Fuze concept, further highlighting Malaysia's automotive potential.
Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said the event showed the nation's expanding influence in the global mobility landscape.
From cutting-edge automotive technologies to visionary prototypes, Mohd Shamsor said KLIMS 2024 exemplified Malaysia's commitment to shaping the future of transportation.
"This milestone reaffirms our position as a key player in the global mobility ecosystem, inspiring collaboration and innovation across industries.
"We are excited to build on this momentum, driving progress and setting new benchmarks as we navigate the future of mobility," he said in a statement.
Qube Integrated Malaysia executive chairman Richard Teo said as the show manager of KLIMS 2024, it delivered an event that highlighted the latest in the automotive industry and positions Malaysia as a hub for innovation and sustainability in mobility.
"We are grateful for the overwhelming support from exhibitors, partners and 183,221 visitors, as we look forward to continuing to raise the bar in future editions of this prestigious event," he added.
