KUALA LUMPUR: Police detained a 15-year-old teenager for allegedly raping his mother in Cheras, here, earlier today.
In the 2am incident, the woman who works as a waitress at an entertainment outlet, was intoxicated when she went home.
City Criminal Investigation Department deputy chief Assistant Commissioner Khairi Ahrasa said the 44-year-old woman claimed that she went into the son's bedroom by mistake and slept there.
"When she woke up, she found her naked son on top of her," he said, adding that initial investigation revealed that the teenager was watching pornographic materials before the incident.
Khairi said the woman immediately lodged a report after the incident.
"Police arrested the suspect for questioning and the case has been referred to medical team from the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia," he said.
The case is being investigated for incestuous rape.
