3 killed, 2 in serious condition after 5 motorcycles-1 car crash

KUALA LUMPUR: Three teenagers were killed while two others are in serious condition following an accident involving five motorcycles and a car at KM20.4 of the Guthrie Highway, earlier today.

In the 1am incident, it was believed that the crash occurred when three motorcyclists travelling at high speed lost control of their machines and collided into each other before crashing into a Mazda CX5 driven by a 39-year-old woman.

Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Junaidi Bujang said the impact had two victims thrown on the highway’s shoulder while another flung near a flyover.

"The first two victims aged 18 years old died at the scene while the third victim aged 16 was pronounced dead at Sungai Buloh hospital at about 3am," he said, adding that the car driver escaped unhurt.

Junaidi said after the first crash, two motorcyclists travelling at the highway collided with the three scattered motorbikes.

"The two victims aged 16 and 20 were rushed to the hospital and they are currently receiving treatment at the intensive care unit," he said.
