Police discover stolen cars worth RM2mil from six suspects

PETALING JAYA: Police discovered ten stolen cars worth about RM2 million with the arrest of six suspects in a series of raid since Sunday.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Azmi Abu Kassim said the identification of the suspects was made possible after they reviewed a closed-circuit television footage.

"After obtaining the footage from a victim, whose car was stolen, we managed to establish identities of the suspects," he said.

Azmi said following the identification, three suspects were arrested in Kepong last Sunday.

"Another two suspects were picked up in two different raids last Wednesday and earlier today," he told reporters at district police headquarters.

Azmi said with the arrest of five men and a woman, police were establishing if there were any other suspects in connection with the case.
