PEKAN: DEPUTY Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s wife, Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman, led 80 recipients of state awards and medals at Istana Abu Bakar here yesterday, in conjunction with Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah’s 84th birthday on Friday.
Noorainee was among 20 people who received the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah (SSAP) award, which carries the title “Datuk Seri”, from Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
Among those who were conferred the award were Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob’s wife, Datin Seri Junaini Kassim; Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein’s wife, Tengku Datin Seri Marsilla Tengku Abdullah; International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed’s wife, Datin Seri Khamarzan Ahmad Meah; Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s wife, Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis; Works Minister Datuk Fadillah Yusof; Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman; WZ Satu Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Tengku Datuk Uzir Tengku Ubaidillah; and Irrigation and Drainage Department director-general Datuk Ahmad Husaini Sulaiman.
Also receiving the SSAP award were Education director-general Datuk Khair Mohamad Yusof; Works Ministry secretary-general Datuk Zohari Akob; Forestry Department Peninsular Malaysia director-general Datuk Dr Abd Rahman Abd Rahim; Pahang police chief Datuk Sharifuddin Ab Ghani; Media Prima Bhd group managing director Datuk Amrin Awaluddin; Sarawak police chief Datuk Wira Muhammad Sabtu Osman; Malakoff Corporation Bhd CEO Datuk Syed Faisal Albar; Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd CEO Datuk Dr Hasmiza Othman; Back Up Capital Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Zamri Ramly; Berjaya Corporation Bhd CEO Datuk Robin Tan and Ipmuda Bhd managing director Datuk Lim Heng Suan. Indonesian Football Association president Prof Dr Djohar Arifin Husin was awarded an honorary SSAP award.
Seven people were conferred the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) award, 10 were conferred the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) award and 20 were conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award. The three awards carry the title “Datuk”.
The SIMP award recipients were armed forces chief General Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin’s wife, Puan Sri Umi Kalsom Wan Awang; Police Wives’ Welfare Association chairman Puan Sri Imran Ibrahim; Tahan assemblyman Datuk Wan Amizan Wan Abdul Razak; Pahang Land and Mines director Datuk Azizan Ahmad; former state exco member Datuk Omar Othman; Datuk Abd Jalil Jidon of Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre; and Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd CEO Mohammed Emir Mavani Abdullah.
Among the DSAP award recipients were Pahang state secretary Datuk Seri Muhammad Safian Ismail’s wife, Datin Seri Jamaliah Zainal Abidin; state legal adviser Shamsulbahri Ibrahim; Pahang Public Works Department director Datuk Abdul Jalil Mohamed; and Pahang deputy police chief Datuk Fatimah Ghazali.
The DIMP award recipients included Customs director-general Datuk Seri Khazali Ahmad’s wife, Datin Seri Rohana Mohd Zin; Bera district officer Shamsudin Sah Mohd Said; and Wanita MCA secretary-general Ooi Siew Kim.
The Setia Mahkota Pahang award was conferred to three recipients, Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang award (four) and Ahli Mahkota Pahang award (five). Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji was given to three recipients, while Pingat Jasa Kebaktian was given to four.
