KUANTAN: A lorry driver was lucky when his large crane lorry caught fire not far from the Indera Mahkota fire station here at 1pm today.
It had enabled the fire fighters to arrive at the scene in few minutes and helped douse the flames using fire-fighting foam within an hour.
It was learnt that the driver, in his 30s, had stopped the vehicle after he saw smoke coming out from its engine.
State Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Anuar Hassan said the team of seven fire fighters was led by operation chief Zulkefli Wan Yahaya.
