KLUANG: A 41-year-old lorry driver was killed when he crashed his heavy vehicle into the back of another lorry at Km62.4 of the North-South Expressway yesterday.
He succumbed to his injuries at the Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital, while the other lorry driver, 42, was unharmed.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh said both drivers were heading towards Johor Baru, when the victim crashed into the other lorry, which had slowed down due to traffic congestion.
Bahrin advised motorists to exercise caution and be considerate on the roads, and urged those who witnessed the accident to contact the Kluang police headquarters hotline at 07-7766822 or district control centre a 014-365682.
