PORT DICKSON: It was a sombre and serious mood when the Former Armed Forces chief General (Rtd) Tan Sri Mohd Sany Abdul Ghaffar's hearse arrived at the Armed Forces cemetery here at about 7pm.
Wrapped with Jalur Gemilang, the coffin was ushered by about 1,000 security personnel from the army, Royal Malaysian Navy and Royal Malaysian Air Force.
The burial ceremony was in accordance with military funeral.
He was laid to rest at 7.30pm.
Some 30 family members, including Mohd Sany's wife Puan Sri Normah Mahmud present at the ceremony.
Also present were army chief General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, his deputy Lt Gen Datuk Seri Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi and Army field commander Lt Gen Datuk Seri Zulkiple Kassim.
