Bersih 4: 27 police reports lodged

KUALA LUMPUR: City Police Chief Datuk Tajudin Md Isa said a total of 27 police reports were lodged throughout the two-day rally. 

"Out of the total, 13 were lodged today as at 10.45pm. A 21-year-old man was arrested indecent behaviour and is being investigated under Section 14 of Minor Offences Act 1955 and Section 25(1)(n) of the National Registration Regulations for failing to produce his identification when asked by the police," he said in a statement earlier. 

He said the organisers have promised to dispersed by midnight and would not disturb the preparation for Merdeka celebration tomorrow. 

"Action will be taken if there is any violation of law. There is no issue of Ambang Merdeka celebration being moved to Bukit Jalil where it was scheduled for.

“Police will continue to ensure that the situation is under control. The public should not be alarmed as their safety is assured when attending the Merdeka parade tomorrow." 

He had earlier said 18,000 people were estimated at the rally as of 10pm.
