KUALA LUMPUR: Ten roads around the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will be closed in stages during the 27th Asean Summit & Related Summits.
KL traffic chief Asst Comm Mohd Nadzri Hussain said today that the closure will be in effect for five days, beginning tomorrow (Nov 18) until Nov 22.
Traffic police will be controlling the traffic from 7am to 11.30pm for these five days.
The affected roads are Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Ampang, Jalan P.Ramlee, Jalan Pinang, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Kia Peng, Jalan Perak, Jalan Binjai, Jalan Bukit Bintang, and Jalan Imbi.
Routes from KLIA to KL City Centre and RMAF Subang airport to KL City Centre will also be affected by the closures.
On Nov 21, the routes to enter the KL City Centre will be closed in stages in the morning between 7.40am and 9am, during the opening ceremony, and closed between 7.15pm to 8.50pm during the gala dinner.
Motorists are advised to use the following alternative roads: Jalan Kia Peng/Jalan Stonor, Jalan Tun Razak, Lorong Lumba Kuda, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Jalan Raja Chulan/Tun Perak, Jalan Hang Tuah, and Jalan Pudu.
