KUALA LUMPUR: United States President Barack Obama today concluded his three-day visit to Malaysia for the 27th Asean Summit.
After his press conference at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon, Obama made his way to the Royal Malaysian Air Force Base, where he arrived at 5pm.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and Malaysia's ambassador to the US Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin were on hand to bid him goodbye.
Also present was Foreign Affairs Ministry chief protocol officer Datuk Kamilan Maksom.
The president made his way to his official aircraft Air Force One on a red carpet, flanked by a guard of honour comprising 28 officers from the Royal Malay Regiment’s First Battalion.
Air Force One departed from Subang at 5.20pm.
