KULIM: The search for a 31-year-old man, who went missing after swimming with his friends at the Sedim Recreational Park here three days ago, ended today with the discovery of his body.
The body of P. Thineswaran was found at 6.38pm, some five kilometres away from where he was last seen.
Kulim Hi-Tech Fire and Rescue Station chief Azmir Hassan said members of the public spotted the body along Sungai Sedim.
"The authorities were alerted and recovered the body," he said when contacted today.
He said the body was handed over to the police, with search operations concluding at 8.53pm.
On Sunday, Thineswaran was feared drowned after disappearing while swimming in the recreational area.
It is understood that the weather was clear at the time, but the river current was strong due to rain upstream.
