KUALA LUMPUR: Queen of Rock Ella has achieved so much in her 30 years in the local music scene. But if there is one thing that she hasn’t accomplished, it is to sing with her husband in a show.
All that is about to change as the 49-year-old singer finally managed to coax her other half, airline pilot Azhar Husaini Ghazali, 34, into doing a duet.
“It is so hard to persuade him but I’m so happy that it is finally happening. Since our marriage, it has been my dream to get him onstage to sing with me. I’m really looking forward to that!” said the Klang-born artiste, when met at a Press conference at Nu Sentral in Brickfields today.
Ella, whose real name is Norzila Aminuddin was there to announce her one-day only show for the Secretaries Week scheduled to take place on April 27 next year at Dewan Perdana Felda, Kuala Lumpur.
This also marks Ella's first attempt at performing in Secretaries' Week.
“My show for the Secretaries' Week will be different from my concerts. I will not only sing but entertain my audience too. It will be more relaxed and with my husband as one of my special guests, it will be very intimate,” said Ella, who gave a sample of what is in store as she did a duet with Azhar, who was also present at the Press conference, of Mendung Tak Bererti Hujan.
For her secretaries show, Ella will pick a hit or two from her previous albums.
Tickets are priced at RM400, RM600 and RM800.
