KUALA LUMPUR: The heat is on for the 12 proteges of TV3’s latest reality singing competition Mentor Milenia.
Chosen from the audition sessions held earlier this month, the proteges aged between 17 and 21 will be mentored by four talented singers -- Hazama, Azlan, Akim and Black Hanafiah.
Each mentor will have three proteges under them. Hazama’s are Fareez, Mya and Ebal, Azlan’s are Nuri, Zetty and Ain, Akim’s are Han, Ebba and Meen while Black’s are Wanie, Qody and Haq.
The show will premiere on Sunday at 9pm on TV3.
Its producer Ahmad Saifulizam Arshad or Gbam said, each mentor would have his own strategy as well as criteria when choosing their proteges.
“They (mentors) have informed me the justifications behind their decisions in choosing the 12. The audition sessions were tough for the mentors since thousands of hopefuls had attended, making it harder for the each of them to select his best three,” said Gbam at Mentor Milenia’s Press conference in Pullman KL City Centre here yesterday.
“But we believe, the 12 are the best among the best. Let’s wait and see what they will bring to the table,” he added.
To be hosted by Issey Fazlisham and bride-to-be Marsha Milan Londoh, the winner of Mentor Milenia will be determined via audience votes (30 per cent from studio audience, while the remainder comes from online voting).
