PETALING JAYA: Actress and model Atikah Suhaime is used to be mistaken for the popular actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin.
After all, they do look uncannily alike.
Once, at an airport, a group of strangers thought she was Fazura and started calling out Fazura's name.
"I could hear them talk amongst themselves, 'Oh my God, that's Fazura.' Then they started calling me Fazura! Fazura!' They were so excited, but I just had to tell them the truth," said Atikah who was born in Tampines, Singapore.
The 25-year-old artiste added that she had to constantly change the way she looked especially her hairstyle, so as to avoid people from mistakenly thinking that she is indeed the award-winning actress.
"Don't get me wrong. I adore Fazura. If I was not an actress, I wouldn't mind being likened to her. But as an actress, I need to have my own look and image. So, I try to change my hairdo a bit," she said when met at Sri Pentas in Petaling Jaya today.
Atikah said this after the launch of Ella Fitri, a 25-episode online drama original series available on tonton.com.my
In Ella Fitri, Atikah plays the titular role of a college student who is investigating the mysteries surrounding her campus. Also starring in the series is Aizat Hassan.
