MALACCA: The number of flood victims in Malacca stood at 3,951 as at 1pm today compared to 4,600 at 8am earlier.
State Civil Defence Department director Lt Col Effendy Ali said 3,020 people were still sheltered at four evacuation centres in the Melaka Tengah district while 931 victims were at five relief centres in Alor Gajah.
"All the flood victims in Jasin district had returned home.
"The last relief centre in the district - SK Chohong was closed at 9am today," he said in a statement.
With the clear and hot weather today, more victims are expected to return home.
