50 civil servants in sensitive positions to get transfer orders within a week

PUTRAJAYA: Public Service Department (PSD) director-general Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal said all 50 civil servants holding sensitive positions slated to be rotated would get their transfer orders within one week.

He said the process to transfer the 50 has begun, adding that more personnel holding sensitive posts would be involved in the rotation exercise.

"The 50 staff as announced by the Chief Secretary (to the Government) are just the beginning. It is an ongoing process," he told reporters after the launch of the 1Serve Transit Lounge@JPA4U here today.

Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa announced on Monday that PSD had already identified the 50 personnel that would be transferred.

He said the rotation was in accordance with the Public Service Circular No. 3 introduced in 2014.

The circular states civil servants holding sensitive positions must be transferred out between three to five years within or outside their ministries or departments.

Ali said these personnel had served between five and 10 years at their respective ministries' departments including in finance, contract and procurement.

On the 1Serve transit lounge, Zabidi said the facility would complement the 1Serve JPA4U counter.

"This is a new initiative mooted by the 1Serve Service Design and Customer Journey Mapping approach that PSD has undertaken to ensure the comfort of the customers when dealing with this department," he said.

Under the transit lounge facility located at Block C10, Zabidi said the people especially retirees could use the shuttle buggy service to go to the 1Serve JPA4U counter at Block C2.
