KUALA LUMPUR: Two locations - Port Klang and Miri - out of the 52 locations monitored for haze nationwide, recorded worsening Air Pollutant Index (API) readings today.
As of 11am today, Miri recorded an API reading of 146, while Port Klang recorded 105, compared to 71 and 114, respectively at 6am today.
A total of 28 locations nationwide showed the API in the moderate range, with Shah Alam recording the highest reading at 83, followed by Batu Muda (79) and Banting (76).
Another 22 areas recorded good readings.
An API of between 0 and 50 is good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 upwards (dangerous).
