Nurul Izzah avoids questions over PKR-DAP feud

KUALA LUMPUR : PKR today chose to evade questions related to the DAP-PKR feud in the Sarawak Election, only saying that the issue will be resolved after May 7.

Its vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar said the party is opting to move on and reorientate their focus to the candidates campaigning against Barisan Nasional (BN).

"Both I and Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail as the party election director feel that enough has been said on the subject.

"We would like to move on..we would like to reorientate our focus just on the candidates fighting it out against BN and handle what needs to be handled after May 7," she said at a press conference.

When asked on the meaning of "moving on", Nurul Izzah stressed that the party would like to focus on the contest and lend their full support to their candidates.

"Meaning moving on with the contest at hand... and supporting our candidates at ground zero.

"We need to really focus on the election and may the best candidates win," she said, admitting that this election would be a tough one and both divides would have many issues to deal with.

Nurul Izzah also avoided the question of who was responsible over the seat disputes, saying that it was the BN's fault for not letting them entering Sarawak.

"The biggest screw up is BN's denial of us from entering Sarawak.

"It is a terrible disappointment when the chairman of the board of advisory 1MDB (Datuk Seri Najib Razak) is standing beside the chief minister and being given the right to exercise his legitimate political activities while we are denied the same," she said.

PKR and DAP will fight against each other in Batu Kitang, Mulu, Murum, Ngemah, Mambing and Simanggang.
