Police arrest 39 in Op Cantas Khas 2

KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested a total of 39 individuals including six women under the ongoing Op Cantas Khas 2, carried out between Saturday and Monday.

City deputy police chief Datuk Abdul Hamid Mohd Ali said throughout the operation, police have Inspected a total of 1,458 individuals.

"They were arrested for various offences such as voluntarily causing hurt, theft, group armed robbery, criminal intimidation, cheating, not having valid documents and intentionally causing injury by dangerous weapons.

"Several detainees were also involved in triads, rioting and murder," he said in a statement today.

Abdul Hamid said the operation focused on entertainment outlets, illegal parking sites, as well as conducting roadblocks.

"The operation will continue from time to time to tackle criminal elements," he added.
