Northbound traffic building up on highways in conjunction with Deepavali break

IPOH: Traffic is steadily building up on the nation's highways as more vehicles hit the roads in conjunction with the Deepavali holiday.

As at 9.22am, PLUS Malaysia Berhad via its Twitter handle@plustrafik said heavy traffic waa reported from Slim River to Sungkai with vehicles heading to the north.

Slower traffic was recorded from Skudai and Senai and from the Seremban R&R to Bandar Ainsdale, as an accident has been recorded at KM207.6 of the stretch.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) also reported slow-moving traffic around the Gombak toll plaza towards Genting Sempah as at 10.27am.

Smooth traffic however was recorded on both the Penang Bridge and Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Bridge.
